Who we are

My name is Josh “Boz” Boswell. I’m a drummer, lifelong tinkerer, and the creator of Drum Bones.

Drum Bones started out of frustration. I was tired of using rings that would vibrate off my toms, inevitably crease, or even get thrown across the room whenever I somehow managed to get a stick underneath one. Gels work, but over time they’d get oily, collect grime, and don’t travel well when moving between different kits - and a lot of the better damper/muffling options choke the drums a bit too much for my liking. I wanted something more musical, more dependable, and built for real-world playing.

So I made it.

What began as a personal solution quickly turned into something bigger. After the first few iterations, I knew I was onto something worth sharing. So I made my way to see the guys at Drum Supply House here in Nashville with a simple question: “Are these good?” They were nearly as excited as I was. That’s when the “what if” stage began — and after dozens of prototypes and design refinements, Drum Bones were born.

I design and produce every product myself here in Nashville. They’re built by a drummer, for drummers—simple, reliable, and intentionally designed to perform wherever and whenever you need them.
